Academic Hotel & Congress Centre is situated in a quiet and peaceful part of Roztoky, which is a mere 20 minutes away from Prague´s city centre. The hotel offers complex hotel and conference services in the most up-to-date accommodation as a four-star (****) hotel.

The hotel started operation in December 2006. The guests have primarily been attracted by the quality of accommodation services, variable conference rooms equipped with audio-visual technology, excellent cuisine and obviously the personal approach of each member of our staff.

Academic Hotel offers unique interior decorations in the form of a permanent exhibition gallery. The corridors of the third floor are decorated with four unique large-size photographs of London in the 1960s by Oldřich Karásek. The corridor of the fourth floor and the hotel restaurant features pictures of musicians and actors by Oleg Homola dating from 1978 - 1986.

Room decorations include works by another 13 Czech photographers. Each room shows a series of three photographs by a single author, lending the room a unique atmosphere. 

How to reach us

• By car:
  • From Vítězné square in Prague 6 - From Dejvice, continue along Jugoslávský partyzánů street in the direction towards Podbaba and further along the Vltava river on the road II/242 to Roztoky. At Roztoky, drive up the serpentine to the main square, where you will already see our hotel. The car ride will take 15 minutes.
  • From Prague – Ruzyně airport drive towards Horoměřice, then towards Únětice and to Roztoky. At Roztoky continue along the main road until your reach the main square, where you will already see our hotel. The ride from the airport takes 15 minutes.

• By metro and by bus:
  • At the terminus of metro line A - Dejvická get off in the direction to the bus stop, where the buses to Suchdol leave. Buses 340 and 350 stopping at Jugoslávských partyzánů street will take you right to the front of the hotel - Tyršovo náměstí stop, In 15 minutes. The Tyršovo náměstí stop is situated in zone 1 of PID (Prague transport system). Buses leave every 20 minutes pursuant to the timetable.

• By train:
  • From Masarykovo train station (metro line B station Náměstí republiky) take a train going in the direction to Kralupy nad Vltavou and further to Ústí nad Labem and get off at Roztoky u Prahy station which is about a 15 minute ride. Then walk for about 5 minutes to the square where you will already see our hotel. The Roztoky u Prahy station is situated in zone 1 of the PID. Trains leave every 30 minutes pursuant to the timetable.
  • From Prague Hostivař (via Prague Libeň) and subsequently from Prague Holešovice (metro line C station Nádraží Holešovice), travel again to the Roztoky u Prahy station. Trains leave every 30 minutes pursuant to the timetable. GPS: 50.16198 N, 14.392169 E

Accommodation

The hotel offers 50 rooms with the total number of 109 beds (5 single rooms and 45 double rooms). The rooms are super-standard sized, some can even boast of the “family room" status. The two top floors offer rooms with a spacious loggia each.

Conferences

The conference centre with the option of the creation of special programmes on the request of customers belongs to the major assets of our hotel. Modern equipment will assure success and smooth progress of your event. Our conference rooms are ideal for training courses, presentations, conferences, fashion shows, theatre performance and other events. Full refreshments, meals and beverage services are available.

Centres

Hotel guests as well as other visitors to the hotel can choose from several catering facilities, including two restaurants, a bowling bar or a sky bar on 7th floor of the hotel with a view of Prague and surroundings. Entertainment for all visitors is the responsibility of the bowling bar, equipped with four professional bowling tracks, a bar football game board, a billiards table and a large-scale projection. Perfect rest after a busy day is offered by our sauna or massage centre. 

Academic Gallery

On the ground floor of the hotel there is a “true” exhibition gallery with a new exhibition every two months featuring one of our leading professional and amateur photographers. The galley has established cooperation with CZECH PRESS PHOTO.

Weddings and Wedding Receptions

The hotel restaurant offers an ideal venue for wedding receptions with the families of the newly married couple to be followed with a visit to the Sky bar with grilling and a pool or to the bowling bar with evening refreshments and mixed drinks.

Services

Other standard services go without saying together with the above offer. All public spaces of our hotel provide access to high-speed internet. Parking in our underground garage and transfers to your selected destinations are an integral part of our complex services.
